Skin problems, Skin problems: General

What is it

Ichthyosis is a genetic disease that causes the horny layer to grow in an anomalous manner.
The name comes from the fact that the skin begins to look like that of a fish covered in scales.
There are many forms of ichthyosis but, although they have a different appearance, they are all characterised by thick, dry, scaly skin;  extreme dryness and desquamation or scaling.

What to do

As no specific treatments for ichthyosis are known, it is usually treated using products that keep the skin soft and smooth.
GLYCOCREAM+ is a non-greasy micropeeling exfoliating cream that is particularly suitable.
It is usually applied after washing with CLEANSING CREAM.
